EDGA Education team recently visited the R&A Golf facility GolfIt in Glasgow to deliver specific seated player coach education. The GolfIt facility is already active in the community proving coaching and opportunities for local people with disability to experience golf for the first time.
GolfIt provides an excellent pathway for seated golfers who can can commence their journey by staring from their own wheelchair playing simulated golf, then progressing to the ParaMotion device which gives the user access to the golf course and more standardised equipment. The facility was recently donated a ParaMotion device to help support playing opportunities for seated players.
