The EDGA Development Team will visit new member federation – Golf Saudi to deliver EDGA Coach Education, training and resources to the network of volunteer and professional coaches. The visit, which will take place from the 22nd January to 4th February, will include delivery of coach education in Riyadh, followed by development activities for golfers and new players with a disability ahead of the Golf Saudi International co-sanctioned Asian Tour event at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club from February 3 – 6.
EDGA is delighted to deliver this important facet of development to our new member federation, who will be able to quickly realise their potential market of golfers with a disability and achieve the identified numbers of participants within a short time frame. The coach education and development plan will demonstrate how Golf Saudi can identify new samplers to the game and develop them into regular participants and future competitors, by equipping the coaches who support each level of the player journey with the skills and attributes essential for growing golf for people with disabilities.
