EDGA Head of Instruction and Education Mark Taylor visited the Edoardo Molinari Golf Academy (EMGA) at Royal Park Golf Club, Turin.
Ten of the EMGA coaches attended the two day training who work across the three EMGA training venues in northern Italy. The coaches were educated around the G4D space, provided with local knowledge on how to develop the player pathway for both existing and new golfers living with limitation, impairment and disabilities.
Camilla Mortigliengo from the EMGA at Royal Park Golf Club quoted:
I am confident that the valuable insights and skills I gained from you will greatly benefit my personal golfing journey.
On behalf of the entire team, EMGA and Royal Park I Roveri, I extend our heartfelt thanks for your presence and contribution. It has been a pleasure having you with us, and we are eagerly looking forward to the project ahead.
The coaches were given opportunity to gain experiential training on coaching new and existing players with physical, sensory and intellectual impairments. After the training local EDGA players were invited to a coaching session where the coaches were able to dive deeper into some further coaching considerations under the supervision of Mark Taylor.
Mark Taylor – It is fantastic to see independent golf coaching organisations such as EMGA approaching EDGA for further education, we are confident that our education resources and experience in this field will not only support coaches working with players with disability, but also greatly enhance their coaching skills to better serve the general population that they work with.
