EDGA visit South Africa to train golf coaches.

An earlier coach education session taking place in Poland

The EDGA Development Team will visit South Africa to deliver the educational remit of the Alfred Dunhill Links Foundation project. EDGA’s Head of Development will train golf coaches from the PGA of South Africa in three different provinces of the country; Pretoria, Cape Town and KwaZulu Natal (Durban). This collective project involving South Africa Disabled Golf Association (SADGA), Golf RSA and the PGA of South Africa will initiate the project where golf coaches will receive training around coaching golfers with disabilities, outreach community coaching and impairment specific key coaching considerations. The project which has been funded by the Alfred Dunhill Links Foundation will then support coaching sessions to new and existing participants with disability.

The project has already received a huge response with over fifty coaches already registered for the training.

The EDGA Development Team will provide more live updates from South Africa as the visit gets underway.
